AUGMENT BOSTON

In this project I created a prototype for an application that will use augmented reality to allow tourists and residents to engage and understand their urban surroundings from a viewing point like that in the prudential tower.

I believe buildings have lost importance and significance. This is a result of two things, the disappearance of a building as a landmark in an urban area and the merging of architectural identity. This add uses augmented reality to allow guests of the Prudential Towers viewing hub to see information about the surrounding building through their device, connecting the history and identity of the building to te view of the devices camera.

This prototype demostrate how augmented reality could be used to convey information in an engaging way. The mockups are examples of building that have been selected by users through the lens of their camera, and what images and text would be displayed ontop of the image.
